Overview:
Melissa Welebir Kuhn is a partner at Forum Law Partners LLP and leads the firm’s Orange County office. A graduate of the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, she holds a Juris Doctor and a Master’s degree in International Relations from USC’s School of International Relations. With nearly 30 years of legal experience, Melissa provides sophisticated counsel in the field of international law.
Her practice focuses on advising U.S. and foreign clients on cross-border transactions, international trade regulations, compliance, and dispute resolution. She is known for her strategic legal approach and commitment to helping clients navigate the ever-evolving global business environment. Melissa is also an active member of DFDL Thailand’s Tariff and Trade Group (www.dfdl.com), through which she advises clients across Southeast Asia on U.S. law and regulatory matters.
Melissa is licensed to practice law in California and is an active member of the State Bar of California. She is also a member of the International Law Section of the California Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA), underscoring her commitment to international legal practice and global advocacy.
Melissa is a musician and an aspiring fiction writer who enjoys coastal outdoor activities with her family. In her free time, she loves global travel and skiing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with her husband and two sons. She is also the founder of The Alpine Sea, a Wyoming-based business. Melissa is an active member of the Surfrider Foundation and Protect Our Winters.
